Jumping Into the Deep End

The leaps that I'm taking seem to be getting bigger and bigger!  I'm please to announce that I've rescued my first two cats for Forever Home Cat Rescue:

Then I couldn't help but rescue THIS little girl too:

I didn't realize how tense I was until I got to the vet's office and looked in the mirror to fix my hair.  My face looked positively *pinched*.  I can only pray that the vet doesn't come back and say that Magda needs dental, or something is wrong with the little Tortie.  I did my best to choose cats that would fit in beautifully in the foster homes and are adoptable.

I'm very grateful to the two foster Moms that stepped forward to rescue these two cats.  They know with the holidays AND a new rescue, it could take a little while to get these cuties adopted.

On another exciting note, I've finally finished my logo for Forever Home Cat Rescue!  I hope you like it - making a logo isn't as easy as it sounds!  (remember - this isn't the banner - just the logo)
I took the leap into the deep end today and I couldn't be happier or more frightened.  I feel extremely responsible for the little lives that I rescued today and for the foster homes who had faith in me enough to take the jump with me.

As I typed this last paragraph, I received a phone call from another new foster Mom wanting to join in this new adventure with me.

Looks like I'm going back to the shelter!!!  :)

Oh hooray, what a great adventure.

We have a blog, www.PetBlogsUnited.com and would love to interview you for a feature called Talkie Tuesday. We'd love to get the story out there about what you're doing. Maybe you'll inspire more people to do the same.

You can e-mail us at PBU at comcast dot net if you are interested.

Oskar

Love the logo and the tail thing is cute. I did similar with my Just Cats logo on my website. justcats.ca
I can imagine how scared you are and how you are smart enough and informed enough to know what can happen with a rescue over time but I have faith that you will know when you can and cannot get in deeper so I wish you all the luck and hope that I can find some donations for you in the future. Hugs, Deb=^..^=x5

Whoooo!!! You go! That is fantastic news Beth! You *never* fail to impress me! I really like the logo (but I would have bet money on it that it was going to have a tabby in it :D )

As I said before, you are on our list for Christmas donations but seeing that you've now rescued your first two cats, how about we get that donation to you a little early? :-)

The cats you rescued are unbelievably adorable :-)Surely they'll be snapped up before too long?

And of course, as soon as we have the Malley/Batman situation figured out, I'll happily foster for you too :-)

Love the logo...but it's missing one thing- a hairball! (this because my own foster decided to leave a trail of hairballs at 4am this morning!)
Congrats!

Great logo Beth, you're really being disciplined with doing all this work, I think Alison needs to be name changed to something about "eyebrows" how about E.B. or "Sourcils" pron. Sore-Cile??
