96

My little "Barbie" was adopted last night.  She's still with me until her Forever family is back from Florida:

It's very hard for me to keep a foster cat after they've been adopted.  I don't want her to get any more settled in to our routine.  I agonize a little longer because my beloved foster cat is leaving soon.

Barbie's adoption made  January's Adoption #96!!  I'm still astounded that we've adopted out almost 100 cats in a month.  Never have I seen such teamwork from a rescue before!  To give you an idea, I'm usually pretty excited when 50 cats are adopted in one month....but NINETY-SIX??

With all the bad stuff I often report, it's nice to have a little brag-fest.  :)

Wondering what happened to Lloyd, last post I remember he was sick - noticed he is not on the available list anymore.

January's not over yet, Beth. There's still four more hours to go. What if you get to 97, 98, or 99 ? Suspense !

But seriously, 96 adoptions since Jan. 1 is amazing. You and those friendly tabbies...

I know the SPCA (in the City you rescue) is open to the public for adoptions.

I wonder - with all their resources and funding, did the SPCA manage to spay/neuter provide excellent vet care (like for Oscar the Himalayan) AND adopt out 96 cats to loving homes?

You did all this - on a shoestring budget!

May every month this year have
96+ adoptions!

100 Adoptions in a month is huge for an independent rescue group! Also, congrats on branching out to a new shelter to save more lives. As a side note, I love that red bed that Barbie is in. I plan to buy the exact same one, actually. :)
