If you haven't read The Samantha Chronicals, I really encourage you to click on the link so you can fully experience what this little girl had gone through.
This was Samantha's shelter picture. It's still hard for me to look at this picture....maybe because I get the heebie-jeebies over fleas and skin creepin' crud. But this isn't really about where Samantha has been....it's where she is NOW....
These pictures were sent to me today via a forward from Jen. For those of you who think fostering isn't for you - please look carefully at what love can really do. A letter came with the pictures from Samantha's new family. I thought about posting the letter, but there's really nothing that these people can say to detract from these incredible pictures.
But really....doesn't a picture speak a thousand words?
Samantha didn't die alone in the shelter. She is having a wonderful life thanks to her foster Mom that cared enough to step forward to give this girl a chance.
I'm going back to the shelter tomorrow for another rescue, thanks to more volunteers who have offered to step forward to save a life.

Great story!
Are you sure the photos are the same cat? The cat at top is totally different color from the cat at bottom.
Anonymous: Yes, I'm sure...the picture at the top is what a cat looks like covered in dirt, feces, and flea scabs. She's a white cat underneath ALL that! Amazing!
Put a caution warning on your posts when they could make me cry!!! Lol. J/K. That's absolutely wonderful. Reading this made my day (and my mascara run a little).
Yup, for sure she is the same cat - I'm the one who rescued her. At first, she was so caked with dried blood and a nasty skin infection that I couldn't even tell if she was cream or white! When I first rescued her I though she had a cream head - nope, dried blood stains... It took about a week before we knew she was white all over.
The scary thing is, she never cost us a cent above the normal spay/vxn/deworming - all she needed was some flea treatment, a bath and food. I can't even imagine who owned her before and let her get into that state... Let's hope I never meet them!!

O.M.G. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What a gorgeous cat, really really big kudos to the rescuers!!!! Nothing deserves that treatment.
Those kind of before-and-after pics are so important to show for educating people about pets, strays, and ferals.
I'm just reading your blog now for the first time, and have wanted to comment on past posts but THIS is the one that had me unable to keep quiet. This transformation is UNBELIEVABLE! It has me in tears of joy.
Wow, the contrast is amazing. I never would have guessed there was a gorgeous white cat waiting to emerge.
