7 + 2 = 9

It was a good rescue day....frustrating...but a good day just the same. I arrived at the shelter to find that the six cats I was rescuing were already vaccinated, flea treated and dewormed for me! Many thanks to Penny (a vet tech at the shelter) who saved the rescue bunches of money by doing that for us.

To save time, I've posted the pictures of the rescues below:

Koca!

Gracie!

Nina!

Kokie

Lacey! (OMG!)
Peggy!

Nadine!
Two others who were not on the shelter website were also rescued! It was a great day for rescue! Looks like I'm going back tomorrow for some kittens. :)

Lots of frustrating stuff happened today that I don't feel like writing about. It always ticks me off when crummy things happen to take the buzz out of an awesome rescue day. But I'm a *rock*... sock it to me baby! :)

I'm going to scroll through those sweet faces above and think about them being safe tonight.

*poof* <----there goes the frustrations!!

I often look at the shelter website. I don't know why since I can't adopt or foster right now. I always end up falling in love with some kitties and follow them in hopes of them being rescued (like Beanie for example). Today's site visit had me falling in love with Kokie and Peggy. Thank-you Beth for rescuing them!

Lisa,
I'm up north and unable to foster myself and I avoid the shelter website like the plague. I wonder, after days like yesterdays post if I need to avoid Beths blog too (no offence!) It just makes me heart sick that I can't help right now when I'm most needed.

Beth, congrats on your new post!

Wow. I hadn't looked @ the shelter website for all of about 5 days...and POOF, kittentown, USA.

It breaks my heart, I wish I could foster kittens :(. I will just look at little Magoogle and try to think happy thoughts.

Hi Lisa, The rescue group I'm with rescued Beanie. I couldn't help but notice his name. He was very ill with URI when we rescued him but he now well and was just neutered today. Just thought I'd let you know in case you were wondering what happened to him!
