Fresh Ones!

The pictures have come in of the new little family that was born yesterday.  Turns out we ended up with FIVE little ones....the first for my new rescue.  They were born on St. Patrick's Day, so I think Irish names should be appropriate when we can figure out what sex they are:
That little Tabby just about KILLS me....I could kiss that little face....Mwwwwwwwah!

Then..last but not least:

It's definitely not kitten season yet, but it's getting closer.  The arrival of these babies is just the beginning.  We have another pregnant Mom waiting to give birth, so there may be more maternity pictures coming soon!

I'm looking forward to the weekend with hope that the adoptions keep going strong.  Regardless, I've got a volunteer helping with the adoption line and emails so that I can walk away from it this weekend.  I'll be home, but maybe not feeling so glued to my desk.  David took the day off today, so my usual routine is all messed up.  Why does the presence of one man cause so much fuss around the house?  He's going to retire soon and I'm trying to mentally prepare..."Don't kill my husband...Don't kill my husband.." :)

I wish every day could be just like this one.... :)  Happy Friday!

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG!!!

I adore that last one and would like to sneak him home and love him forever (once he's old enough to leave his mama). That might be the cutest baby I've ever laid eyes on.

Enjoy your weekend!

Oh My God --- these babies are so precious/adorable/lovable. I'm so very glad that you were able to rescue the Mom, so that they (at least most of them) were not born in a cold metal cage in a lonely shelter. These are the first kittens born to your rescue, aren't they? Do you feel like a proud Mama? I think I'm in love!!!

Ditto your first commenter!

My mantra will be, "I'm not adopting again, I'm not adopting again, I'm not adopting again."

And I'm not, for a variety of reasons that include financial and emotional suicide. But oh, those baby faces!

OMG! That last one looks like my Sadie! Oh, and about the one man messing up the whole works, yeah, they do that. Every now and then I have to try to keep myself from smothering mine with a pillow in his sleep. Which he does a lot of...sleeping that is.~Donna

Oh Beth, they are so OMG worthy! And black and white as well! Be still my beating heart! Then again, one of Renee's new guys (Brunswick), who we think may be part Turkish Van, has really melted me too and he isn't even black and white...You think I'm a crazy cat lady in the making?

Good for you for having the weekend (hopefully) a bit more to yourself, and thank you to the kind volunteer who is manning your phone/email :-)

David no doubt is a lovely, lovely man (A - you wouldn't have married him otherwise. B- He doesn't mind having to share his bed with your feline army :D) but I can completely see where you're coming from. When Matt started working from home, I frequently had to tell myself 'he's worth more to me alive than...er...not so alive'

Cindy, Bertie, Sammy, Malley and Batman

Sooooooo cute! I wish them health, happiness and excellent forever homes when they're ready.

I adopted today from a shelter in Dartmouth, NS, called Bide Awhile. We were considering a sweet black female, and when they told us she'd be there a year I had to have her. She comes home tomorrow. We made the shelter's day.

Just think of all the extra work David can do for you and the rescue when he retires....he may just want to keep working!

OMG that last baby is so cute!! I think 4 is enough for a momma, my foster momma had 5 and that was 1 too many for her, dinner time was squishy and one had to drink laying on his back, I called him FUBU for feet up, bottom under!
