Meet Armando!

It's the Friday before Thanksgiving here in Canada.  It feels like everybody is too busy to worry about rescuing or adopting a cat right now.  I stopped by our Petsmart store this afternoon and it's totally quiet!  UGH!

Last time I was at the shelter, I met a very cute feral kitten and was told that he would be euthanized due to temperament.  Fortunately, they were able to put him on hold for me while we worked on finding a foster home for him.   A seven week old kitten usually comes around very quickly in foster care!   As usual, one of our fabulous volunteers came forward to help this little dude.

It was my pleasure to rescue him today:

I hope this video makes you smile.   I held him on the way to his new foster Mom's house.  He was purring.

Happy Friday :)

Love your rescue day videos. I did smile and you're right, "oh crap you're cute"! I bet in a few weeks he'll be a love bug.

On the surface, Armando did not look impressed with the fact that it was his rescue day, but you know what? He WAS blinking at you, so I am not surprised he purred on the way home to foster. So lucky for him you were there to save him. He will be an awesome kitty for somebody!

Oh my god, he's ADORABLE. He'll be a snugglebunny in no time, I'll wager. I'm SO glad they held him for you. He'll be worth it.

OMC what a cute story for Thanksgiving weekend. Today is Sunday and I was just thinking about all the furries at the AC. 7week old kittens can easily be turned around, I'm glad you rescued him and created a cage space! I was also thinking of you yesterday at dinner and wondered how many 'cat centerpieces' were on your table! lol

I wonder how often the Petfinder site of the Hamilton shelter is actualized...
There was another, darker kitten next to a kitten who looks like Armando...
Here they are

I wonder if the darker one is already rescued, too?

The little warning hiss as he let you pet him was so cute! I had a cat that I adopted as a feral kitten, and after a few days of hissing at me and hiding, he became the most affectionate cat ever, who followed me around constantly. Feral kittens are the best!

Beth: don't forget that if you come across feral kittens, you can always bring them here. I tend to have pretty good success with them.
