A Happier Post

Did I say yesterday that I haven't been rescuing anybody?  Sure, *I* haven't....but our rescue is still helping the cats that need us.

Six week old baby found yesterday in a box next to a dumpster.  But now *safe*

This little girl was hanging around a playground for a week with the kids.  She just wanted somebody to take her home.  She's safe now with us.

So maybe I was a little dramatic when I said I wasn't rescuing. *WE* are rescuing the cats that need us. I felt a lot better when I realized that things were still happening around me. I've been feeling very isolated in my own little chaotic misery lately. On a happy note....remember our 14 year old dog Maggie that was diagnosed with liver cancer and 4 weeks to live? (If you missed that post, you can read about it HERE.   Tomorrow, it will be THREE MONTHS since that diagnosis.

We took Maggie over to the new house last night to see her new back yard.  We never thought she'd live long enough to see our new home.  Boy, were we wrong!!    (I wish the video showed the house - but at least you'll get to see the garage (for ample cat carrier storage),  and please note "The first Pee-Pee" in the new yard at 30 seconds)

Watch the video a few times. It'll make you smile.  Until it's her time - we'll love her to pieces.

LOVE the yard! She looks like a pup despite her sweet white muzzle! Incidentlaly, I use a naturopath remedy called HA-180 (I get it from a health food store - AlphaOmega is the company)- which does awesome things for Llyr's sore joints

Look at those adorable faces! Just want to hug and kiss them! A thousand thanks to the foster parents that saved these babies.

And as for Maggie, nothing like an ol' dog discovering her new home with the spirit of a puppy!

OMG, who's gonna cut that lawn?
Maggie doesn't act like she's sick, vets make mistakes too. She's got years left in her, that backyard is gonna keep her active and alive.

Wow you got room for a pony back there!! I'm totally jealous but happy for you, the family and Maggie. I think this calls for a bigger cat den, maybe 2 or 3!!

I'm glad you rescued the kitten and the older cat. Readers might want to check those charity discard boxes to listen for dumped cats. There was a story in the Star last week about a cat who had been dumped in one complete with a stomach feeding tube attached. They took the cat to a shelter and she will be adopted out but it makes me wonder about the ones that aren't found in time! We need to form a 'Charity Box Watch' committee!

Oh Beth what a heartwarming video! Thanks so much for sharing it with us. Maggie looked so excited exploring her new backyard. One would never guess her age the way she was bouncing around. Brought happy tears to my eyes!
