Until Sunday....

A really wonderful couple came out tonight and is adopting my Boris. I really wanted to find a reason to not like them and keep Boris for myself, but alas - they were lovely!

The couple is going out of town until Sunday, so I have my baby boy for another few days. It'll be a tough couple of days to have him around when I know he's leaving, so I'll have to start detaching.

Boris was absolutely perfect and snuggled at the right times and was playful the next. They're adopting a second kitten from the rescue so that there will be a pair.

Boris will have a brother!

It's 8:45 pm as I type this....Grey's Anatomy comes on in 15 minutes. I can't think of anything better on a Thursday night than to snuggle with my foster kitten. We only have a few days left together.

So much for "detaching". *sigh*

Beth....I know exactly how you are feeling. I'm planning on taking one of my foster babies to the Adopt-a-thon on Sunday. He's such a wonderful cat and my daughter and I are trying to convince my husband that we should keep just one more. I caught my hubby hugging and loving him when I wasn't looking :) If it wasn't for someone with the initials BT telling me about this beautiful white cat, I wouldn't be in this predicament, LOL.

Oh, my second litter of babies went to a Petsmart adoptathon, and I just about had a nervous breakdown - you probably recall my "ZOMG! My babies in a cage! With strangers mauling them!" email with amusement. It's hard to let them go. But I get some reports, and you get me new fosters... new fuzzies are good...

At least kittens aren't like kids. You get to keep kittens for a bit while they're still cute, then send them away and get new ones. Come to think of it, maybe husbands and wives should work the same way.

Seriously, when I fostered I found giving up the kittens to be the hardest. I'd always go through withdrawal until the next batch came along.
